JOB INFORMATION
The Technical Assistance Project Generalist is responsible for providing instruction to new, replication, expansion, and conversion of charter school staff, as assigned, to ensure successful implementation. The APCSC is looking to employ at least four TAPG. The role will assist the Grant Project Director with providing support to the charter school staff and other responsibilities related to the CSP grant. This role requires a comprehensive grasp of education requirements and technical assistance. Providers are often knowledgeable retired state employees.
Key responsibilities include:
- Provide instruction and support to charter school staff;
- Provide training and technical assistance to potential applicants and subgrantees to support academics and operations;
- Collaborate with APCSC staff;
- Monitor and ensure compliance with federal, state, and local regulations governing grant activities;
- Develop and implement processes to track and report on grant compliance;
- Conduct regular audits to ensure adherence to grant guidelines and reporting requirements;
- Travel as required;
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications/ Requirements: Bachelor’s degree and 5 years minimum experience in education. Desired supervisory experience in an educational environment.
Terms of Employment: Twelve Month Position in Accordance with Negotiated Contract. The Alabama Public Charter School Commission is a non-merit state agency.
